Description
It is a kind of wild mint with a very strong aroma, ιt grows in wet soils of Europe, such as on the banks of rivers and lakes, while at the same time its cultivation is quite intensive in Greece.
Its beverages have tonic, antiseptic, digestive and diuretic action, but also antioxidant properties.
Its essential oil has antispasmodic effects, but is also used to treat disorders of the stomach and digestive system, colds and external skin diseases. It is also widely used in cosmetology, perfumery, pharmaceuticals and food industry.
